“The texturing process is my favourite step in creating a 3D character or environment, I think it's the most creative and artistic moment,” says Roxane Hinh. When she’s not creating adorable images like this, Roxane works as a graphic designer at Paris-based video game studio, Sloclap.
“Fish are a recurring element in this character,” explains Roxane. “I created a ‘fish kit’. For that I create a basic high poly in a separate scene, then I do the low poly that I superimpose on my high poly. Finally, I place and deform the fish around my character scene.” This technique allows Roxane to work with fish that are already detailed, allowing for faster variations.
