But it appears we have little understanding of the conditions they work under, which could be contributing to these shortcomings. THE offshore fishing has been good over the past month. There have been some giant couta and tuna landed and some big billfish seen. The North Coast has seen amazing fishing. The couta has been the main attraction with a few fish crossing the 30kg mark already. This is early season so we can expect to see quite a few more. FEMALE pupils in Kabul, Afghanistan, protested on Saturday after the Taliban ordered that secondary girls’ schools close, hours after they reopened. The Taliban Education Ministry said schools for all pupils would open across the country last week, after months of restrictions on education for high school girls. A day before the reopening, a ministry spokesman released a video welcoming back pupils. Chinese rolls are made with a pancake. I learnt to make this snack from my Sri Lankan friends and from my travels to Sri Lanka. Pancake 1 egg ½ tsp salt ½ tsp heaped baking powder 1 cup milk (adjust) 1 cup flour In a liquidiser, add the egg, salt, baking powder and a little of the milk. Pulse for a minute, then add the flour and milk and make a thin pancake batter. Cook saucer-sized pancakes on a non-stick pan (grease pan with a little oil) and keep aside. AFTER spending more than six months in jail, a Phoenix man charged with two counts of attempted murder following last July’s unrest has been granted bail. Justin Lee Pillay, 33, of Ambleplace Place, was also charged with malicious injury to property. According to the charge sheet, Pillay allegedly intentionally and unlawfully damaged a VW Polo Vivo belonging to Khayalethu Sikanyela, valued at R100 000 on July 12. It is further alleged he struck Sikanyela and Vuyani Mbenswane with an object that could have been a baseball bat, a bush knife, a golf stick, or something similar.
