Where next?
Reading the Discoveries article on the 300,000-year-old Petralona skull (November, p21) got me thinking about human evolution. Apparently, there were many species of homo, which originated in Africa and later spread, with some of the oldest fossils being found in Morocco, Ethiopia and South Africa.
Since our distant ancestors, many evolutionary changes have happened to humans. My question is: would any expert care to predict any large evolutionary change in the future?
