ISLAMIC Relief South Africa launched the Incubator of Dreamers initiative recently to help prepare 100 youths to establish their own businesses. Yusuf Mohamed, CEO of Islamic Relief SA, said students would go through 18 months of mentorship, and be assisted to develop business plans. “The whole idea of this project is for the youth to also empower and develop their own communities,” said Mohamed. “We gathered students, aged 18 to 35, by engaging with community-based organisations we have partnerships with in many underprivileged communities. PARAMEDICS have noted an increase in head-on collisions on roads in KwaZulu- Natal. They said this was especially the case in areas of narrow high traffic roadways, mountain passes as well as high-speed zones such as freeways.
