Edward Gallagher was found not guilty of first-degree murder of the teen and attempted murder of the girl and elderly man.
Gallagher and his family rejoiced at the news.
His wife said they were ‘finally vindicated’ after being ‘terrorised’ by the government that her husband had fought for.
She described him as a righteous and noble individual.
Gallagher was, however, convicted of posing with the boy’s corpse.
As a result, his rank and pay were reduced.
He was also sentenced to four months confinement, but as he’d already spent several months in military jail awaiting trial, he’d not spend more time behind bars.
Sean Gallagher slammed the Seals he said had fabricated the case against his brother.
