Experts have been left stunned after an almost extinct animal was spotted in a new habitat. With dwindling numbers, the Leadbeater’s possum was thought to only live in Victoria, Australia, but one was captured on camera as it explored the Kosciuszko National Park – at least 250km away. The Leadbeater’s possum has big eyes and a bushy tail, and is so small that it only weighs 125g. Two rescue bears escaped from a wildlife park and headed to a food store next to their enclosure, where they raided a ‘week’s worth of honey’. As a nation, we couldn’t help but feel that the Doctor’s low-budget bumbling paled in comparison to the expense and swagger of Buck Rogers in the 25th Century (1980-82). This fact was reflected in the shows’ respective ratings. Doctor Who saw its figures fall from a series high of 16.1 million viewers the season before to a low of 3.7 million viewers in November 1980, the lowest ratings in the programme’s history.
