STATEWIDE, THE TEXAS RANGERS HAVE INVESTIGATED MORE THAN 560 CASES OF PUBLIC CORRUPTION AND PUBLIC INTEGRITY, INCLUDING BRIBERY, THEFT, FORGERY, AND OTHER WRONGDOING. YET NEARLY 90 PERCENT OF THE TIME, THERE ARE NO PUBLIC RESULTS OR PROSECUTIONS AND THE REPORTS ARE NEVER RELEASED.

1. AUSTIN
COMPLAINT: PUBLIC EMPLOYEES USED TO PERFORM PERSONAL FAVORS
In 2015, state legislator Dawnna Dukes was accused of compelling state employees to babysit and run errands. Rangers found irregularities in Dukes’ pay and expense records and she was indicted by a grand jury in 2017.
