Hasselblad is a name synonymous with medium-format film and digital photography, and its cameras and lenses are trusted by some of the world’s most iconic photographers. However, traditional cameras with large sensors are big and heavy, more so than most full-frame DSLRs. With the introduction of the X1D-50c, the firm has brought medium format to the mirrorless market. While there are currently only a few XCD Mount lenses available, the range is soon set to grow, extending its adaptability. The system offers a more compact alternative, while maintaining all of the advantages of a larger imaging sensor, including greater dynamic range, resolution, noise control and limited depth-of-field, for artistic purposes.
