DRAMATIC CHANGES WITNESSED
During the Antarctic Climate Expedition (ACE) 2023, we witnessed the most dramatic changes compared to the previous 10 visits between 2003 and 2022. Ecosystems are naturally subject to change, especially in extreme environments such as the Antarctic, and they often fluctuate greatly as a result of natural cycles. However, based on photographic evidence, recent changes are more pronounced, affecting the wildlife and landscape of this icy continent. Some changes, though, are caused by events beyond the Antarctic, and are far more difficult to address.
