Where previous Bentley models were anachronistic, The Continental GT was up to the minute. Out went the old driving style, and in came the new - sporty, noisier and perhaps a touch flashy. As an owner and daily driver of pre- and post- Volkswagen Bentley motorcars, I experience the contrast regularly. The mood is entirely different. In the GT, the sense of detachment from the world is gone, and heaven forbid you don't brake before a speed bump.
