Kangaroo Chair, Cassina
Pierre Jeanneret originally designed the Kangaroo chair for a hospital in Chandigarh, India. Long story short: The renowned architect, alongside Le Corbusier, was tasked with creating a new, high-design city there in the 1950s. The city was a success, hailed as a utopia of modernist architecture. The chair, now considered a classic, was equally lauded, which makes this teak homage from Cassina worth having, as finding a good original in the wild is no longer straightforward.
