Here's a unique good news story on which to end the year! Gatorland®, which is located in Orlando, Florida styles itself as the The Alligator Capital of the World®, and with good reason, as it is home to more than 2000 of these reptiles, living within the park's boundary of 45 hectares (110 acres). Established in 1949, it was founded by the Godwin family, who are still involved with this attraction today.
While colour morphs are commonly associated with other groups of reptiles, they have never been widely recorded in crocodilians generally, although there are two different types documented in alligators.
