Nearly a year after It Ends With Us hit theaters, Blake Lively, 37, gave her deposition in her legal battle against costar and director Justin Baldoni, 41. He attended, but it was no “face-to-face showdown,” her lawyers wrote in an Aug. 4 motion. The clarification came as attorneys for Lively accused Baldoni’s side of creating a “media circus” by leaking details of the deposition. The Grand Ole Opry has lost another icon. Jeannie Seely died on Aug. 1 at age 85 of complications from an intestinal infection, following multiple surgeries this year. In 1967 Seely became the third female country singer to win a Grammy, for her No. 2 smash “Don’t Touch Me,” and she went on to enjoy success with solo singles and duets with Jack Greene, including their 1969 No. 2 hit “Wish I Didn’t Have to Miss You.” She remained active up to her death, logging more than 5,300 Opry performances and releasing her final single, “Suffertime,” last year. “I just feel blessed every day,” she told People in 2024 of her long career.  …
