When Howard Stern grabbed dinner with longtime friend Billy Joel in late May, the Grammy-winning musician told the radio host that despite his diagnosis with a rare brain condition, all is well. “He’s doing fine. He does have issues, but he said, ‘You can tell people I’m not dying,’ ” Stern relayed in the June 3 episode of his SiriusXM show. The news from Stern brought relief for fans of Joel, 76, who announced in May that he’s recovering from normal pressure hydrocephalus (NPH), which forced him to cancel all upcoming concerts. In a setback for Justin Baldoni, a judge has granted Blake Lively’s motion to dismiss his lawsuit against her. On June 9 the It Ends With Us director-star’s $400 million countersuit against Lively, 37, her husband, Ryan Reynolds, 48, and their publicist alleging extortion and defamation as well as his $250 million lawsuit against The New York Times alleging libel were thrown out. (The judge noted that Baldoni can amend and refile two of his claims.) A source says Lively, who kicked off the legal saga in December by accusing Baldoni, 41, of sexual misconduct and a smear campaign, “cried with relief” upon hearing the news. A former male escort who says he was hired to perform in more than a dozen of Sean “Diddy” Combs’s alleged “freak-offs” with Casandra “Cassie” Ventura, recalls seeing “the dark side of things” in their final encounters. “The tone was a little darker toward the last times I’d seen them,” Shawn Dearing, 37, tells People. “It was more of a ‘doing this to please him’ type of spirit,” he says.
