It’s undeniable. It’s coming. There are electric somethings in our near future.
The whole world has gone nuts for ‘full’ EVs.
Australia has just seen a three-model Mustang Mach-E range go on sale, and they start at a fairly reasonable $79,990AUD (though that one’s only rear-wheel drive). A few weeks later, the Mach-E arrived in New Zealand. It’s pretty urban though, lowslung and running on highway tyres.
Toyota’s been conservative on the EV front. BMW is forging ahead, Isuzu and others not so much. Volvo, of course, says it will be full EV within a few years. The company is also laying off 1300 staff, blaming increased competition for its products.
Some of us, though, don’t buy into the idea of EVs being the right solution for our vehicle emissions…
