Michelangelo Buonarotti was born in Caprese, Italy, on March 6, 1475. When he was a month old, his family moved to Florence, about 60 km away. Sadly, his mother died when he was just six years old. A talented student Michelangelo's father wasn’t happy that his young son wanted to paint and draw instead of going to school. Look Shrew It Is! A special species of shrew has been photographed for the first time ever in California. Since camera phones became popular in the early 2000s, it's hard to imagine that anything has escaped being caught on camera. But, until now, the Mount Lyell shrew had never been photographed! Three college students – Harper Forbes, Prakrit Jain and Vishal Subramanyan – set out to change that. They set up special traps in the shrew’s mountain habitat and, after three days, managed to catch, measure and photograph 18 shrews.
