In countries such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Bahrain, Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Oman, Mongolia and even Australia, the sport of camel racing is very popular. And no wonder – camels can run at an average speed of 40 kilometres per hour and, for short periods, can sprint at up to 65 kilometres per hour!
