Created by Luke Cresswell and Steve McNicholas in 1991, Stomp presents an inventive and invigorating stage show that blends dance, music and theatre into one toe-tapping rhythm. David Ghysels and Stefan Kerkhofs have taken al fresco dining to new heights with their surrealistic Dinner in the Sky events. The concept, which has been implemented in more than 50 countries, seems simple enough: cranes hoist stand-alone dining rooms more than 50 metres in the air, where guests can take in sweeping views of a city—including London, Las Vegas, Istanbul and Shanghai—while dining on gourmet fare. Dinner in the Sky started in Belgium when Ghysels, founder of Hakuna Matata, a Brussels-based marketing agency, pitched the idea of an airborne dinner to a client in 2004.
