Edvard Munch Portraits at the National Portrait Gallery, London, from March 13 to June 14, will be the first exhibition in the UK to focus on Munch's portraits, featuring intimate portraits of artists, collectors, family, friends, lovers, writers and patrons, as well as a number of rarely seen self-portraits. A programme of events accompanies the exhibition, including curator, Dr Alison Smith's introduction to the exhibition on Friday March 28, 7 to 8pm; and a beginner-friendly weekend workshop with portraitist Charlie Schaffer, on April 26 and 27, exploring portrait painting and taking inspiration from work on show in the exhibition.
