Publishing a magazine in today’s environment is a challenging endeavor. Unlike 2011, when the very first issue of Kandy was published, magazines no longer compete with solely other titles in their genre. Gone are the days of Kandy competing strictly against Playboy, Maxim, FHM and other men’s titles for readership. Now, Kandy competes against social media for not only eyeballs but also content. Models have flocked in droves to adult site Onlyfans to generate income. Celebrities have turned to Instagram to generate the exposure magazines once promised. Readers of men’s titles follow the women. Since our beginning in 2011, we did our best to set a standard for the quality of models in Kandy. We believe we maintained that standard 95% of the time.
