My studio is a bit of a mishmash, being part work office, part music room, and part painting room too.
It’s based in a complex of converted stables in a rural area, so away from the sounds of urban life, and the noisiest thing is the odd dog barking (not always mine) or the occasional crows chatting outside.
Essentially it’s a man cave or shed, but just a little prettier and with an assortment of lovely neighbouring shed owners, including a number of friendly dogs, of which the deerhound,
Scout, and the labradoodle, Biscuit, are both my canine colleagues.
The building itself is lovely, light and airy, and even in the loft-like space I’m in it feels bright and cheerful. I’m a fan of natural light, even when working at…
