ONE OF THE COMMERCIAL BENEFITS of military solicitations is the direction it drives manufacturers. In an effort to win these contracts, companies will invest the time and money to develop and test the creation of new products. Sometimes the product is too specialized to benefit the rest of us, but other times it’s becomes something that we didn’t even know we wanted. One example of a military solicitation benefitting the commercial market was the ability to quickly change a rifle’s chambering between .308 Winchester, .300 Winchester Magnum and .338 Lapua Magnum. IN RECENT YEARS, we’ve heard numerous reports of banks and other essential service providers enacting policies that are biased against the firearm industry. This problem has largely gone unnoticed by the general public, but not every state is simply accepting this situation for what it is. In 2021, Texas became the first state in the nation to enact a law that ensures its citizens’ tax dollars don’t inadvertently line the pockets of corporations that use its enormous power to enact de facto gun-control laws. The law is called the Firearm Industry NonDiscrimination (FIND) Act. After retiring from a 26-plus-year career as a senior enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard, he became an instructor for government programs in 2017. VERSACARRY arrived to the holster scene in June 2010 when founder Justin Sitz set out to develop a minimalist concealed-carry rig for his Ruger LCP and SIG Sauer P238. IN THIS DAY of digital marketing and computer-generated imitations, it can be difficult to sort out what’s real and factual. This problem is further compounded by social media and video platforms where anyone, regardless of their qualifications and experience, can espouse their opinions and thoughts on any topic. I’m not saying that the internet and social media is all bad, but too much of the information is simply opinion, or based on little more than a couple of vague observations or hearsay. It also has number “S.1882” on the right side of the hex portion of the barrel. All parts have matching numbers. The revolver was and is in the white.
