TV TALKER Wendy Williams is spending a fortune on treatments to control her devastating thyroid disease — and they seem to be working wonders, sources say.
Due to her hectic schedule, the 56-year-old can’t check into a clinic so she’s hired 24/7 care to battle her autoimmune disorder Graves’ disease, which has caused lymphedema, painful swollen ankles, spies say.
“She’s been doing special exercises to encourage lymph fluid drainage, getting massages and wearing wraps around her ankles to reduce swelling,” dishes a source, who says Wendy has also overhauled her diet and quit junk food.
Wendy’s team of specialists is “costing her a fortune, but this is the best place she’s been in a very long time,” says the insider.
