A new study finds divorced folks have the highest risk of developing the brain-robbing disease, beating out those who are wed and even people who lost a spouse or never tied the knot. According to Michigan State University researchers, divorced people — especially men — are twice as likely to be struck down with dementia as married people. The scientists, who studied 15,000 volunteers, believe “differing economic resources” and “health related behaviors” may partially account for their findings.
