Fragrance-creation has long been a male-dominated industry, and the biggest names and ‘noses’ behind the most iconic scents predominantly men. But slowly, with more new perfumes than ever, a fresh cohort of female perfumers are catching our attention with their beautiful work.
“I think female perfumers have a better understanding of what women want, what they expect from a fragrance and, more importantly, how to use the power of scent in a man’s world,” says Azzi Glasser, creative director of The Perfumer’s Story by Azzi.
