Last season, Tom’s R5 GTT build just pipped Dale’s awesome W114 build. In our eyes they were both winners, but this hasn’t stopped Dale wanting his revenge, so they’re both back with their new projects, and, of course, we’re here to document the builds. Once again, the new vehicles couldn’t be more different – Tom’s rocking a ’67 Volvo Amazon Coupe, while Dale has bagged himself a Jag S-Type R. Who’s gonna smash it this time? If you follow motorsport, you’ll have no doubt seen our news that we won’t be racing in the BTCC this year. Well, not as we intended anyway. We’re planning on doing a few guest rounds, with some exciting ex-BTCC celebs in the hot seat, but Messrs Plato & Jackson won’t be at the wheel. Well, the good news is that I’ve just unpuckered my backside just enough to tell you that I’ve finally got my winter wheels on the TT. Admittedly I didn’t have a lot of choice, after having a rear blowout and a rather scary sideways moment crossing 3-lanes of the M25. I’d love to tell you that my superior piloting skills saw me safely to the hard shoulder, too. But scientifically speaking that would be utter pish.
