Finding your style is a process. Just ask Laura Frazier, hobby farm owner and the Instagrammer behind @thecottagescribe. In 2010, she and her husband, R.C., built a modular ranch-style home on a 2-acre property in Williamsburg, Kentucky. The couple decorated the interior of the 2,000-square-foot house in French country and primitive styles, with mustard, red and dark green tones and lots of roosters.
After living in the home for several years, the Fraziers found the decor was no longer a good fit. “It was very pretty, but very dark,” Laura recalls.
