We’ve taken inspiration from Nordic flavours by way of the Levant, but the world is your oyster... Add olives/dips for a Med twist, pastries for a Viennese vibe, or embrace your inner Aussie with smashed avo, sourdough and a jug of cold-brew.
FRUIT AND VEG
We used figs, pears, pomegranate and physalis, but most fruit and veg work well; think crunchy chicory, creamy avocado, even little waxy potatoes.
CEREALS/NUTS
For some, breakfast isn’t complete without muesli. A chocolate granola (see overleaf) adds a celebratory twist to the classic. Alternatively, think about making bircher muesli with lots of grated apple.
MEAT & SEAFOOD
Smoked salmon is a classic, but salamis, air-dried ham, prosciutto, rillettes or potted shrimps would all sit well on a savoury board.
