Widely considered to be one of the most technically challenging and arduous complications to craft, minute repeaters hark to a notion where timepieces are considered objets d’art, fascinating collectors with their sculptural splendour, as well as pristine and melodious chimes that inform the owner of the time.
It was back in 1870 when Jaeger-LeCoultre, a fledgling manufacture known then as LeCoultre & Cie, made its first minute repeater timepiece.
