MADNESS GARY BROWNJOHN HOLSWORTHY, DEVON
Q When did you first become a Superfan of Madness and why do you like them?
A It was 1980. I bought My Girl on 7", then the album One Step Beyond. After that, I just never looked back. Madness have never taken themselves too seriously, but they have made some iconic music – they still do – and videos.
Q Tell us what you have in your collection
A Various music media, promo items, adverts, articles, fan club magazines, posters, mugs, T-shirts and bootlegs. Basically, anything and everything Madness-related.
Q How much have you spent on it?
A I don’t have a figure, but it’s a lot. Just don’t tell my wife, Faye!
Q What’s your favourite item of merchandise?
A The Madness fruit…
