The season, so far, has borne fruit; a podium at every race finish, two pole positions and, most importantly, self-improvement. All of that said, the sought-after race win has been elusive and in Round 4 of the GR Cup, I was hoping to close the gap throughout the weekend. Aldo Scribante Raceway, in the blissful yet baron Coega Industrial Development Zone, served as the stage for the mid-season showdown. Constructed in the 1970s, the circuit retains much of that classic (or archaic, depending on opinion) charm. Even so, the first few laps served as valuable opportunities to get to know this novel, yet extremely flowing piece of tarmac.
