THE Department of Correctional Services (DCS) has confirmed a violent incident that occurred yesterday at the Pollsmoor Prison during which officials were attacked and two inmates lost their lives. According to the DCS, the disturbance began when a group of inmates launched a stabbing attack on Correctional officials. In response, force was used to restore order. Calm has since been restored at the facility, and all those injured have been transported to hospital for medical treatment.
