Shortly after graduating high school, my grandmother Sharon who I think about to this day, with her warm, compassionate, fiery, and adventurous spirit, passed away. I’ll share a little about her. Although my grandmother was bound to an oxygen tank and other health complications, she always found time to pray for others, to give others a listening ear, and did not allow her limitations to define her. I can remember her waking up in the mornings before injecting herself with insulin, she would pull out her prayer notebook and pray for others.
My grandmother’s mobility was limited, yet with her tenacious spirit, she was able to write and produce plays at church along with other activities. Sharon, my grandmother would ask my aunt Malvolyn, who I call “one cool aunt”…
