Nicolas Ghesquière’s locations for his Louis Vuitton cruise shows have spanned the globe, from the TWA Flight Center at New York’s JFK airport to the MAC in Rio de Janeiro and the Miho Museum in Japan. For the brand’s Cruise 2023 show the fashion set descended upon the Salk Institute for Biological Studies in San Diego, an imposing, Brutalist building designed by Louis Kahn in the early 1960s. From its inception in 1832, Longines has continuously prided itself on its ability to craft watches that exude elegance while prioritizing precision. The watchmaker has a history of reliability and pioneership, from timekeeping sporting events across disciplines in the 1880s to the chronograph worn by Amelia Earhart on her 1932 transatlantic flight. This year, the watchmaker extends The Longines Master Collection with new, decidedly feminine 34 mm styles.
