LARGEST HUMANOID VEHICLE
A Japanese mechanical company called Sakakibara Kikai built this Mononofu (meaning ‘samurai warrior’) over six years. Their incredible build was verified on December 7, 2018, measuring 8.46m high, 4.27m long and 4m wide. Mononofu is reported to weigh around 7.3 tonnes! The warehouse entrance where Mononofu was built in Gunma, Japan was only 7m high, so the head had to be removed when the bot was taken outside. One developer, Masaaki Nagumo, says they drew inspiration from different Japanese animes and that they wanted their creation to have a cockpit for a human to control it. The arms, hands and legs can move, so just imagine piloting it in battle!
