Whether you’re a coffee fiend or a tea fan, your brew of choice may be protecting you against developing what’s called cardiometabolic diseases, so things like type 2 diabetes, coronary heart disease and stroke. Researchers said that regularly enjoying a moderate amount of coffee or tea, so three cups of coffee, or 200-300 mg of caffeine a day, was the sweet spot. Compared with people who avoided caffeine altogether, those who sipped less than 100mg a day reduced their risk for cardiometabolic diseases by 40%, while those who enjoyed moderate amounts saw their risk drop by nearly half. ANGELO COASSIN'S LIMONCELLO TIRAMISÙ STEP 1 Begin by making the limoncello dip. In a small saucepan over a low-medium heat, combine the sugar, 400ml water and lemon zest. Mix and bring to the boil, then take off the heat and pour into a shallow bowl. Leave to cool completely, then pour in the limoncello. Set aside.
