THE updated Cupra Leon and Formentor have gone on sale, bringing fresh frontend styling, spec tweaks and revisions to the line-up of powertrains.
Entry-level versions of the Leon (above) get a 148bhp mild-hybrid powertrain and are priced from £31,090, slightly less than the outgoing model. The estate starts at £33,370. The 296bhp flagship hot hatch is £41,465, while the fastest wagon has more power, at 328bhp, and weighs in at nearly £51,000.
The updated Formentor, meanwhile, costs more than before, with prices starting at £33,450. That’s for a 1.5 TSI manual, although as with the Leon, the SUV is also available with mild-hybrid tech when specced with an automatic gearbox.
Both cars have fresh plug-in hybrid systems too, promising more than 70 miles of electric-only driving.
