Quilt shows are so inspiring. You can chat to fellow fabric fanatics and top up your stash (ahem!) but the incredible art on display is often what really stands out. The sheer time and effort that goes into each piece is breath-taking, but can also be a little intimidating if you're new to the craft. Here, she explains that every machine is different and recommends oiling your sewing machine every three bobbins. Autumn has been my favourite season for as long as I can remember, and what’s not to love? The trees put on their annual show with their gorgeous hues of crimson and golden yellow. The cooler temperature ushers in sweater weather, campfires, trick-or-treating and pumpkin carving. And perhaps best of all? Warm and cosy quilts.
