Just like Urbanista’s solar–powered Los Angeles headphones, the company has transplanted its solar–powered tech into a more compact design and produced the Phoenix earphones.
In the Los Angeles, a solar–charging strip was integrated into the headband, but of course it works differently in the Phoenix earphones. Each earbud is too small to fit any kind of solar panel, so instead a roughly two–inch–squared light cell sits on one side of the charging case, which in turn juices up the earbuds. It works with artificial light too, not just sunlight.
The result is a case that charges the buds forever, cable–free. The earphones…
