NEARLY a third of patients stricken with pancreatic cancer wait three months before seeking treatment for worrying symptoms — putting them at risk for a deadly diagnosis, according to a recent poll. Pancreatic Cancer UK says its survey discovered 28 percent of those with the disease did not seek timely aid for ongoing signs of the illness, including back and stomach pain, indigestion, weight loss and jaundice — a yellowing of the eyes or skin.
