AMBUSHED by a stranger, a 61-year-old grandmother was left blind from a vicious acid-tossing attack right outside her Philadelphia home, authorities say.
Phlebotomist Helen Jones was headed to her car to go draw blood for patients at a nursing home when a cruel creep splashed her in the face with chlorosulfonic acid — burning her lips, tongue and eyes!
Aneesha Summerville, Helen’s daughter, says, “There was a man there, and he was like, ‘Hey, are you good?’ As if he was inquiring about her safety, making sure she was OK.
“And when she looked up to say, ‘Yes,’ he threw the stuff in her face and ran off.”
Aneesha says docs were unable to determine if her mom’s vision will ever return and adds, “It’s devastating.”…
