BELOVED TV star Doris Roberts died bitter and alone — because she never got the recognition she deserved and thought men were jealous of her success!
The “Everybody Loves Raymond” mom, who passed away in an L.A. hospital on April 17, said “the guys in her life didn’t want her to be a star,” says an insider.
“She believed they were all jealous of her wealth and fame. She got her revenge by amassing a fortune.”
But it cost her. “She lived all alone for over 30 years — and that’s how she died,” adds the pal.
Doris divorced first husband Michael Cannata, the father of her only child, Michael, now 59, in 1962. “He wouldn’t grow up and take on responsibilities!” she said.
