Longtime ONE LIVE TO LIVE stage manager Raymond J. Hoesten, Sr., passed away in December at the age of 74, but Erika Slezak (Viki) tells Soaps In Depth that he was a “wonderful man” whom she won’t soon forget. “He was an excellent stage manager with strength and control, and a marvelous sense of humor, which got us through many a difficult day,” she confides. Y&R’s original executive producer, John Conboy, passed away on January 19 at the age of 83. A four-time Daytime Emmy winner, the prolific producer helmed Y&R from its debut until 1982, when he left to launch CAPITOL for CBS. Conboy also served as SANTA BARBARA’s executive producer and, later, GUIDING LIGHT’s. “It is with a heavy heart and a grateful smile that I called him my friend,” wrote Y&R’s Judith Chapman (Gloria) in a social-media post announcing Conboy’s passing. As the WSB agent struggled to balance her emotions, portrayer Finola Hughes kept us on the edge of our seats. Facing A Madman Anna seemed to quake at the very idea of Faison, and once she actually saw him with a gun to Finn’s head, Hughes kept her character squirming with a mixture of fear, fury and deep repulsion. OUR TAKE GH Hot Topic: Are You Buying Anna And Finn’s Romance? It’s been an impressive thing to watch the turning of the tide among viewers when it comes to Anna and Finn — and a testament to both the GENERAL HOSPITAL scribes and the actors playing the unlikely romance! Although we were immediately smitten with the adorably awkward and sexy pairing, many viewers balked. Some were still smarting over Hayden dumping Finn. Others simply didn’t buy that Anna would get involved with someone like Finn. But as the two bantered through their fear of commitment while battling a baddie, we saw the audience slowly warming up to the couple. Of course, simply putting them together would be far too undramatic, so the soap has used Anna and Finn’s mutual…

How does Bergman answer fans who accuse Jack of being hypocritical over his anger at Phyllis and Billy’s affair, when Jack once slept with his father’s wife, Jill? “I don’t think somebody has to have lived their life perfectly in order to feel pain,” he counters. “Somebody who has done horrible things can still feel betrayed.
