Hullo! Anyone who knows me knows I’m not super diligent at social media. I try to keep up with it, but I’m not hugely fond of sitting still so engaging online isn’t my forte. Still, like most of us, I do get sucked into doom scrolling which inevitably leads to certain thoughts crossing my mind–‘look how far ahead of me these people are’ or ‘wow, I’ll never be that fit, or good looking, or smart, or wealthy,’ and so on. We all know that social media shows people’s curated lives rather than their actual lived experiences, but it can still sting when you’re trying to achieve something despite life’s best eff orts to derail you and a post pops up with someone looking relaxed, gorgeous and successful.
