VODAFONE TEACHES OVER-65s DIGITAL SKILLS
Vodafone has teamed up with charity Independent Age to help the over-65s “gain digital skills, save money, and feel more connected”. The ‘Hi Digital’ scheme aims to reach 50,000 older people in the first year, offering advice on using a search engine, shopping online and keeping in touch with family. Join at www.snipca.com/43183.
MALICIOUS ADD-ONS TRACK YOUR PURCHASES
Security firm McAfee has warned people to avoid five malicious browser extensions that take a cut of items you buy online. The extensions, for Chromium browsers (Chrome, Edge, Brave), have been installed 1.4 million times. Google has since removed the most popular extension, Netflix Party, from its Web Store, but the others, including a screenshot tool, are still available. Check the extensions on McAfee’s blog: www.snipca.com/43185.
