No matter what your business does, there’s almost certainly some function that can be handled faster, more cheaply, or more effectively by a cloud service (see p102). But correctly working out what to offload, and where to send it, is a question full of potential pitfalls.
Part of the problem is that, when it comes to the cloud, everybody has their own experiences and opinions. Many of these are based on very limited engagement, or on the pernicious idea that business cloud services are, broadly speaking, the same sort of thing as consumer services.
