HEARTSICK Prince Charles penned a letter to the love of his life, Camilla, begging her not to wed his polo-playing pal Andrew Parker Bowles but the blonde ignored his plea and broke the royal’s heart.
While serving in Britain’s navy, the Prince of Wales constantly corresponded with Camilla — who is said to have taken his virginity — and his frantic letter reached her a week before the sultry 26-year-old tied the knot with blueblooded Parker Bowles in 1973.
While the queen and other royals opposed Camilla as a match, Charles wrote his ex-love he “couldn’t think of anyone he’d rather spend his life with,” says a source who read the letter.
“He begged her not to go through with the wedding.”
