THEY’RE SMALL BUT not insignificant changes. Ducati’s new slightly higher spec Monster 821 Stripe only differs from the base model by having forks adjustable for preload, compression and rebound, radial Brembo brakes and the white stripe on the tank that gives it its name.
OK, so the paint isn’t a big deal, although it does look smarter for having it. The front end is the bit that interests us. We liked the base model when we rode it, but basic forks are always compromised, and the lesser brakes on the standard bike are nothing special either.
