IF you fancy some genuinely wild camping, then Isuzu has launched an adventure version of its go-anywhere D-Max pick-up.
The Basecamp is based on the Arctic Trucks AT35 edition of the popular truck, with 35-inch tyres and bespoke Bilstein suspension. It’s equipped with a suite of accessories that Isuzu says are “tailored to provide everything an adventurer needs to set up a comfortable base anywhere, from mountainous regions, through rugged forests, to secluded beaches”.
It gets tweaks from camping expert ARB, including an ‘Ascent Canopy’ for the load bed, a roof-toptent, drawers, a kitchenette, a fridge, a roof rack, and an en suite tent with shower room and portable 12V shower.
