THE S3’s infotainment is identical to the standard A3’s, comprising a 10.1-inch touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital dashboard, although there is a special Sport display mode for the S3. However, given that the basic tech is the same, it has the same result in the S3, so the screen responds rapidly to your inputs. The resolution is superb, too, and there are lots of features, including nav, some great connected services and brilliant Apple CarPlay and Android Auto phone connectivity.
Admittedly, there are some drawbacks – we don’t love the haptic feedback, for example, while wireless charging costs £145 extra – but these are only small when considered against the merits of the set-up.
